Hi, I’m Andrea Joy, a certified holistic health and mindset coach. I’d love to walk with you on your healing journey! I’ve had some pretty rough health issues of my own, and I fought for my wellness, so that I could help you gain more control over their health.

I’ve worked with individuals all over the country to help them create a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and mindfulness. I also wok with families, helping them to get toxins out of their homes, eat better, sleep better, and generally FEEL better. I’ve helped businesses work on everything from stress resiliency to making healthier lifestyle decisions.

I spent years not knowing what was happening in my body. I looked healthy and felt okay most days or so I thought.

Was I tired, Yes! Was I stressed, Yes! Was I living in fight or flight? Heck, YES! 

The problem is, for a while, I thought it was just normal –  waking up tired, overwhelmed and feeling burnt out. I  didn’t even think too much about when I was getting joint pain from time to time, or muscle spasms. I assumed feeling like crap was just what happened as you aged. 

I thought I was taking care of myself by working out almost every day and eating a fairly decent diet. I had no idea what was happening in my body or in my mind or how to truly practice self-care and self-love. Years of neglect lead me to being told by several doctors that I was dealing with:

Leaky Gut, Mold Toxicity, Candida, Epstein Bar Virus, Lyme disease, many nutrient deficiencies and the longest list of food allergies that made it nearly impossible to eat.

Once enough was enough, I decided I would fix it. I tried everything. Limiting diets, over 40 supplements a day, expensive therapies like high dose Vitamin C IV, lymphatic treatment, ozone injections, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, infrared sauna, physical therapy, colonics – all of it. 

I spent thousands of dollars on famous doctors who promised they had the tools to help me, but nothing ever quite worked.

I kept searching. I was lucky enough to make friends with kind-hearted strangers who walked me to the bathroom with my IV, I met staff who held  me while I cried, I spent time with people who were told they had only months left to live. 

While this was not the journey that I expected to have in my thirties, I knew deep down that this path would change me forever and for the good.

So what was missing? A calm, positive, balanced mindset. 

I could eat the perfect meal every single day and take the perfect supplements but would that make all the pain go away? No. It took me years to come to this piece because I didn’t know how important it was or how to do it. Your mind can make you sick or your mind can give you the most powerful body you have ever had.

This comes first and foremost, and I pride myself in teaching mindset and “mindfulness” in a way that you can actually implement when you are stressed the F out. 

Once I had the tools to fully utilize my mind, I recognized other foundational pieces that I needed to achieve my healthiest life. Making things simple, focusing on the basics like drinking clean clean water, getting restful sleep and then optimizing digestion. These were the things that truly made a difference. (And boy do I wish I knew that before I spent thousands on complicated therapies – but it got me where I am today!)

Now I know how to listen to my body. And, I know – I remember being annoyed when others told me that this was something I had to do because I didn’t have a clue how to tap into that inner voice, but it turns out, it really is a thing! This is what it looks like: I now feel like I could take over the world – strong, free and full of life. I operate on pure self-awareness and I feel this beautiful relationship with my body. I no longer guess what to eat, wonder why I am in pain, or put myself through needless suffering. And guess what? Holding in pee throughout back-to-back meetings is needless suffering! I also no longer find myself hunched over my desk, eating, while on a call with a client. My life is spacious, and full, and I savor every bite. This deep connection with my mind and body is what I needed to fall in love with my life again. 

And now I’m lucky enough to guide others to do the same. Wha-hoo!

Today I love to help the oh-so-many of us who constantly feel stretched-thin, struggle with their health, are always pushing themselves even when they feel like they have no energy;  go-getters and leaders and team-members (often all together); to simplify their routines, get back to the basics, master their mindset and transform their lives. Self awareness, self talk, self care – it may seem like there is just not enough time to do these things but I will teach you the tools so you reclaim your life!

Professional Bio:

Prior to starting Andrea Joy Health Coaching, Andrea started her first business as an insurance agency owner in 2007. Eight years into juggling life as an entrepreneur, she noticed her health started to deteriorate. She was that overwhelmed, exhausted and unhealthy CEO trying to balance the demands of a hectic and demanding job, while still making time for a personal life. Like many entrepreneurs, she didn’t stop to listen to her body whispering to her until it was screaming. She uncovered leaky gut, systemic candida, mold toxicity, lyme disease, epstein barr virus, breast implant illness and severe food allergies (to name a few). 

After years of trying dozens of remedies, she found a local doctor to help her get back to the basics and truly heal. With all her experiences and education, she learned the key tools she needed to fully nourish your mind and body. 

Her journey continued when she completed an intensive online meditation course with Dr. Joe Dispenza. After that, she attended a week-long event where she spent over 30 hours meditating, with her longest meditation being 4.5 hours. 

This course taught her how to gain a new perspective on stressful situations, reduce negative emotions, increase imagination, focus and patience by:

  • Practice sitting, standing, walking and laying down meditations
  • Program the subconscious mind into a new future
  • Learn the science and power of meditation

Andrea holds a BBA from Hodges University and is a Certified Health Coach, having also studied holistic nutrition at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In addition, Andrea also has training as a Certification Workplace Mindfulness Coach.

Clients will tell you that Andrea’s personal story and expertise allows them to feel understood and able to share their current challenges. She will identify strategies to support you in achieving your goals and create a toolbox to give you lifelong support. Most importantly, she will make it simple and enjoyable!
